About this product
LG Kasting Winter Barley
LG Kasting is a winter two-row barley of the fodder type, in the medium-early maturity group, adapted to Polissia, the Forest-Steppe and the Northern Steppe. It is undemanding on soils and previous crops and carries resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus.
Lodging resistance and drought tolerance both rate 8 of 9, supporting stable stands through the dry finish of the season. Disease tolerance is even across net blotch, scald, powdery mildew and yellow rust, fitting fodder-grain programmes that need reliable plant health.
