Призначення замка:
Ланка з'єднувальна служить для поєднання відрізків роликового ланцюга, що закінчуються внутрішніми ланками (роликами), або замикання ланцюга з непарною кількістю ланок.

Будова замка:
З'єднувальна ланка (замок) складається із двох пластин в одну із яких запресовані два пальці. При замиканні ланцюга на пальці одягається інша пластина та фіксується на ланці за допомогою шплінтів або спеціальної пружинної замикаючої скоби.
