Full explanation
Herbicides are classified by timing (pre- or post-emergence), selectivity (broad-spectrum vs selective) and HRAC mode of action. On a typical 500–2,000 ha farm in Vinnytsia or Poltava oblasts they account for 35–45% of the crop-protection budget. In April 2026 glyphosate 500 g/L in bulk trades at ~UAH 220–280/L and 2,4-D amine salt at UAH 180–240/L [VERIFY]. Following the 31 March 2026 Corteva/National Police raid across Mykolaiv and Cherkasy oblasts (~6,500 L of counterfeit seized), small-pack counterfeit risk is now assessed at 50–90%. Regulatory anchors: Ukraine's Law on Pesticides and Agrochemicals, the State Register (CabMin Resolution 758/2023) and EU Reg 1107/2009.
