Term

Acaricide

Also known as: miticide

Full explanation

Acaricides are classified by IRAC: group 6 (abamectin — Vertimec), 10A (hexythiazox — Nissorun), 20D (bifenazate), 23 (spiromesifen — Oberon), 25 (cyenopyrafen — Danisaraba). Rotation is critical — spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) in Ukraine is already resistant to all pyrethroids and most abamectins in Odesa oblast. Treatment cost UAH 400–1,200/ha in orchards, 180–400/ha on soy. Optimal timing is hatch emergence (Ovex + Acramite as a two-pass 8–12 day interval). For cucumber and tomato greenhouses in Ukraine, 4–8 rotations per season are typical.
